A growing ship owning and investment company is looking to recruit an accounts assistant for their newly established office in Limassol. The company operates a fleet of shipping assets, trading globally on charter to international customers. The successful candidate will report to the accounts manager. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the development of the Cyprus office as the company’s global center for accounting, operations and administration.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in month-end closing
- Perform bank reconciliation for each the bank accounts.
- Issuing hire invoicing and verifying funds arrival
- liaise with global offices and international customers for payments/receivables matters
- Preparation of payments.
- IC reconciliation.
- Filing on Data Management systems.
- Any other accounting / general admin tasks requested by manager
Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience as an accounts assistant / bookkeeper – Minimum over 1 year experience in accounting aspects (AR, AP, Banks, GL)
- Holder of LCCI Accounting Higher
- Degree in Accounting or related subject is an advantage
- Reporting to accounts manager
- Fluent English
- Have a "can-do" attitude.
- Proficiency in normal PC applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc)
- A fast learner
