The responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the position is the creation and organization of Events, Conferences, Seminars, Exhibitions, Incentives and Special Interest Tourism Programs, Sports Tourism & Trainings, Social Programs, Tailor-made Programs and Shore Excursions Programs.
- Creation of programs and relevant costing, based on customers’ requirements.
- Negotiate prices with suppliers based on customers’ budget and keep up with deadlines.
- Be flexible and ready to suggest alternative itineraries/excursions in order to meet clients’ expectations and requirements.
- Presentation of itineraries created, by the use of power point or any other software.
- Maintain good relations with customers abroad and suppliers of the island.
- To escort and/or follow groups while in Cyprus thus ensuring the correct provision of service.
- Provide reports and statistical data for operation and potential clients.
- Overview of the invoicing procedure and collate funds from customers and relevant invoices from suppliers, liaising with Accounts department.
The individual:
- Acquiring a degree in Travel and Tourism or in any other related field
- Working in a similar position for at least 3 years.
- Very good knowledge of Greek and English languages written and spoken. Knowledge of Russian language will be considered an advantage.
- Very good knowledge of Cypriot History and places of interest.
- Marketing and Sales attributes as well as presentation skills of the destination and relevant programs.
- Knowledge of Cypriot hotels.
- Experience in creating offers and program presentation.
- Basic Accounting knowledge.
- Computer literate and good knowledge of internet usage and Microsoft office.
