Our client, a well-established company that operates in the retail industry which represents an International brand, is looking to employ an experienced and highly energetic professional to join their offices in Nicosia.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Organize, coordinate and supervise the day to day activities of the accounting department
- Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records
- Perform all bookkeeping work of the company.
- Prepare payments to suppliers, local authorities and associated companies
- Prepare account/Bank reconciliations
- Monitor and resolve issues with company shops and Banks.
- Prepare analysis of accounts as requested
- Prepare monthly payroll and monitor employee advances/loans
- Prepare monthly financial reports for the management
- Assist in the preparation of cash-flow reports and their monthly update.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets
- Responsible for compliance with tax requirements and reporting to government authorities.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all accounting functions.
- Responsible for the timely preparation of the Company’s accounts
- Coordinate and support external audits
- Deal with most incoming /outgoing correspondence of the company, including legal and statutory matters
The Individual:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- LCCI Higher or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related field will be considered an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English Language.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Experience with accounting / payroll systems. Experience in E-soft Accounting and Premiersoft Payroll will be considered an advantage.
