Our client is a world leader in intelligent solutions offering value-added services to a wide cross section of companies and industries across the globe. Due to their organic growth in the EMEA region their Operations Division would like to recruit a Customer Service Engineer based in Limassol.
The Support Engineer (Tier3) is responsible for troubleshooting and servicing complex customer service inquiries (3rd party proprietary hardware/software product). Additionally, this position is responsible for analyzing and evaluating technical issues and suggesting methods and techniques to achieve resolution. The Product Support Engineer interacts with internal customers and business partners, while having frequent communication and collaboration with in-house teams is necessary to insure a successful customer experience.
Interface with various R&D and Customer Support groups from around the globe to address product issues in complex environments. Typically the successful candidates will have the following requirements.
Requirements:
- Software/telecommunications practical engineer and above or relevant military/civil experience.
- Experience with troubleshooting of multiple Operating Systems (Windows, Linux) including basic administration, configuration optimization, desktop domains (active directory) and Windows security experience.
- Knowledge of cellular networks and protocols (GSM / UMTS / LTE).
- Knowledge of communication - network structure (LAN, WAN), and communication equipment functionality (hubs, switching hubs, routers).
- Maintain good internal and external customer communication, provide high level support and minimize escalations to R&D
- Willing to work on nonstandard hours (on call duty, off hours support)
- Position requires a few international flights a year.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software / Electrical Engineering (or similar)
- 2-4 years of experience in working with customers (advantage – product support experience).
- Excellent verbal and writing skills in English.
- Training abilities (Knowledge transfers internal/external interfaces).
- Excellent interpersonal communication.
- Motivation and ability to initiate new ideas
- Working in a multitask environment.
- Ability to diagnose problem using holistic point of view.
- Self-learning abilities.
